Mindmap and Mood-board

This is the mindmap and moodpboard of our initial ideas and image examples for the programme.
House Style, fonts

These are the House styles and fonts used for the programme. The first two fonts are the title and text fonts, whilst the other two are customised versions
Contents page and List of Requests
This is the contents page which shows all the main pages and content in the programme, and above is the requests we wanted for all the content.

Photographs Used

These were the photos used in the WSM AFC match day programme, some were supplied through the club photographer and others through fans and staff.
Blogs and Interviews Used
Logos/Club Crests
These are the club logos/crest that will be used in the programme, on the front cover, team sheets, etc.
Adverts
These are the club sponsors or companies/businesses that have paid to have their ad in the programme so there are a set amount of pages that we can use for content and there were around 23 ads altogether.
Weston Super Mare AFC Pen Pics
These were the Pen Pics that were given to us to use for the programme from the clubs. These were used for the squad line up and the team sheets.
Cardiff City FC Pen Pics
InDesign Annotations

This is the double page spread for the on the spot interview. The boxes with crosses through them show that an image will placed there and the box without it for text, which has already been filled in.
This is the Weston team sheet double page spread which was made the same way as the previous screenshot, however the boxes are replaced by circles for the player pics.

This is the front cover of the programme, which is a full bleed image with all the info on the games. The reason we did this is because the previous programme didn't have this and it didn't catch my eye at all. So we thought to put an image with lots of colour as a full bleed front cover.

This is the back of the programme which just shows the upcoming fixtures and how you can buy tickets for them. For each game you can see that the text is in-front of the club badge, and the badge is faded from the right which can be done by adjusting the opacity.
First and Final Programme Document
This is the first and final draft for the programme as there were only minor changes that they could fix themselves.

Creating Digital Graphics Evaluation
For this unit, there were some high and low points. The things that went well outweighed the things that went wrong, for example all the player interviews and content we needed was sent to us quickly and efficiently, although the face to face interview had to be scrapped as we couldn't ask a player from Weston and Cardiff the same questions. Another thing that went well was the creative freedom we were given as we had around 10-15 pages we could alter with our content and ideas. Something that affected this was the fact we had to make a bumper programme with the Exeter game, so we had to take in to account the other content and the total pages we were allowed as 24 of them were already taken by adverts, however we were able to make a profitable programme in the end that pleased Weston's expectations to an extent. I say to an extent because they did have a few tweaks they wanted to make, like removing some people from the credited list that may not work with the club anymore and some spelling and grammar fixes.
If I was to do this project again, things I would do differently would be doing half of the page ideas each and then just send it to the main InDesign edit so that one of us isn't just watching as the other does all the editing. Another thing I would do differently is actually going to a match day and taking the pictures ourself, instead of taking old photos from the club photographer.
In Conclusion, I am happy with the overall outcome of the programme and feel that this is a valuable bit of experience to have in the media industry. There weren't many problems with the production process as everything went quite smoothly apart from the fact we could only edit it from one computer which made making the programme a lot longer, however it turned out alright in the end.
